We went to a wine tasting at Meritage Wine Market and planned to go to Firenze afterwards. Probably the best part of Firenze was the fact that it was close to the wine market.

We went to Vivace while the hotel was still the Four Seasons Aviara. It seems that the Park Hyatt is keeping the restaurant, but we cannot speak to how the restaurant may or may not have changed with the change in hotel ownership.

Barbarella is a cute Italian restaurant located in a very competitive part of La Jolla, surrounded by Piatti’s and Osteria Romantica.  Still, the fact that this restaurant has survived and is thriving tells diners that they must be doing something right.
